Structural Steel Fabrication

Fabrication course is useful for those looking to work in manufacturing plants or machine shops. Fabrication mainly focuses on the assembly of raw materials to build cars, building or other industrial structures. Pipe fabrication and structural fabrication courses are the most popular job-oriented fabricator course. Structural Fabrication usually involves heavy metals and most commonly structural steel.

Structural Steel Fabrication

We use structural steel members such as I-beam, angle, channel, flat bar, square, rectangular, and round tubing to fabricate:
  • Skids
  • Bottle racks
  • Platforms
  • Stairs
  • Structural supports
  • Transport equipment
  • Chassis
Fabrication Procedure
  • Surface cleaning
  • Cutting and machining
  • Punching and drilling
  • Straightening
  • Bending and rolling
  • Fitting and reaming fastening (bolting, riveting and welding)
  • Finishing Quality Control
  • Surface treatment
  • Transportation
Benefits of Structural Fabrication

  • They are maintenance free
  • A structural steel fabrication is essentially corrosion and rust resistant
  • The total frame can withstand fire, wind and snow  as well
  • Even if there is a fire, the steel frame tries its best to prevent flames from spreading to its adjacent places. It will have that black patch due to fire, but will remain undamaged
  • You can add various features like air conditioning, ventilation, or electric wiring after building undergoes completion.
We provide training and certification in the field of Pipe Fabrication and Structural fabrication. A short term course (3 or 6mnths) of Blitz is definitely going to change your career.  It will not only help in kick starting your career, but ‘Blitz’ certificate is definitely for a lifetime. ISO certified, we are rated as the best in South India. Our students are preferred by companies in India and abroad as well, which includes Aramco (American Oil Company).

Building Management System

Building Management System is a control system that can be used to monitor and manage the mechanical, electrical and electromechanical services in a facility. Such services can include power, heating, air-conditioning, elevator and lights.

Structure of BMS

BMS consist of software, a server with database and smart sensors connected to an Internet-capable network. Smart sensors around the building gather data and send it to the BMS, where it is stored in a database. If a sensor reports data that falls outside pre-defined conditions.  The BMS will trigger an alarm.

Depending on the system, BMS software can be installed as a standalone application or it can be integrated with other monitoring programs. More advanced BMS can monitor and manage a wide range of building services across multiple platforms and protocols, providing facility administrators with a single, shared view of the facility's operations.

Benefits of BMS
  • Building occupants
  • Building owner
  • Maintenance Companies
  • Increased operational savings

BMS & Energy Savings
With usage of various building automation techniques the energy efficiency is possible
With help of occupancy sensors provided in various areas of buildings, the service can be brought into operation only, when needed  and also to optimum ,there by leading huge energy savings.

BMS & Illumination System
Lighting up is building art. With our proper illumination the entire space will look dull, creating an uncomfortable working space.

Applications
  • Lighting Control
  • Passive Infrared Occupancy Sensors
  • Automatic Fire Sprinkler
  • CCTV
  • Intellegient Safety Systems

We provide training and  ISO certificationin the field of BMS and  BAS System.Need a boost up in this career? Join Blitz Academy and study a short term course with a long term benefit. We help you specialize and broaden your job arenas.

Magnetic Particle Inspection(MT) Courses offered in blitz

Magnetic Particle Inspection is a non-destructive testing(NDT)  process for detecting surface and slightly subsurface  discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel, cobalt and some of other alloys.
Advantages:
It is quick and relatively uncomplicated
It gives immediate indication of defects
It shows surface and near surface defects, and these are the most  serious ones as they concentrate stresses
The method can be adapted for site or workshop use
It is inexpensive compared to radiography
Large or small objects can be examined
Elaborate pre-cleaning is not necessary
Disadvantages:
It is restricted to ferromagnetic materials
It is messy
Most methods need a supply of electricity
It is sometimes unclear w
hether magnetic field is strong
The method cannot be used  if thick paint coating is present
Applications:
The principal industrial uses of magnetic article testing  are final inspection, receiving inspection ,in process inspection  and quality control ,maintenance and overhaul in transportation industries, plant and machinery maintenance and inspection of large components.
How does Magnetic Particle Inspection Work?

A ferromagnetic test specimen  is magnetized with  a  strong  magnetic field  created by  a magnet or special equipment.if specimen has  discontinuity ,discontinuity will interrupt the flowing through specimen and leakage field will occur.
Finelly milled  iron particles coated with a dye pigment are applied to test specimen. These particles are  attracted to leakage fields and will cluster to form an indication directly over discontinuity .This indication can be visually detected under proper lighting  conditions.
In conclusion, magnetic particle Testing  can be a useful nondestructive testing during new construction and inservice inspections. It can only be used on ferromagnetic materials; therefore, it is not the best method for all applications. For quick, low-cost inspections, MT is often the best NDE method for detecting surface and slightly subsurface discontinuities.

Pile Load Testing

Pile load Test are generally performed either to prove that piles are capable of sustaining the design load or to gain more detailed information that will enable a more efficient design.

PURPOSE OF PILE LOAD TESTING:

  • Confirmation of pile driving depth
  • Confirmation of Vertical bearing capacity of pile.
  • Confirmation of lateral load capacity of the pile.
  • Establishment of driving criteria
  • Confirmation of Pull Out load capacity of pile.

TYPES OF TEST

There are 2 types of test for each type of loading namely the Initial Test
and the Routine Test.

The number of Initial Test may be one or more depending upon the number of
piles required and the importance of structure. The Initial Test shall be
carried out min.2 or 2.5 times the estimated safe load and up to the pile
destruction.Piles used for initial testing are loaded to failure or at least
twice the design load.Such piles are generally not used in the final construction.

The number of Routine Test may be 1.5% of the total number of piles required.
The number of test may be increased to 2% in a particular case depending upon
the nature, type of structure and strata conditions. The Routine Test shall
be carried out to 1.5 times the estimated safe load.During this test pile should
be loaded upto one and half times the working(design) load and the maximum settlement
of the test should not exceed 12mm.These piles may be used in the final construction.

 PILE LOADING TEST

Load Test shall be performed when concrete has reached its required strength i.e.
28 days strength. There are mainly 3 types of loading test carried out on pile.

  • Vertical/Axial Load Test (Compression)
  • Lateral Load Test
  • Pull Out Test

The American Welding Society Course

Blitz brings to you the finest specialization courses in which AWS/CWI
(American Welding Society/ Certified Welding Inspector) which comes under our preparatory courses is, one of the finest you can take up.
AWS founded in 1919 was a non-profit organization with a goal to advance the science, technology and application of welding and related joining methods. AWS is known internationally to have documented the best practices, and the best way to test the skill set of several Job profiles involved in the engineering industry. When AWS tests and certifies a technician or an engineer, the international engineering community accepts the fact that this person is suitable for a particular job profile. So an AWS certification basically helps the candidate to widen the horizon where he can take up a job or assignment.

So count on Blitz for the leading-edge industry knowledge, resources and tools you need to achieve even greater business and career success.
